Assistel attends the ITIC annual conference

10.12.2016

Assistel attended the International Travel & Health Insurance Conference (ITIC) annual congress held in Berlin, Germany, from October 30 to November 3, 2016. This essential event is an opportunity for players in the travel industry to stay abreast of current and future trends, build relationships with international suppliers and develop new business opportunities.

The emergence of international destinations is spurring growth in the travel industry. Retirees aged 55 and over represent an increasingly larger proportion of Canadian travellers. And their travel habits are always changing, as new retirees are more active and seeking adventure. In addition to cost management, the quality of healthcare becomes an essential factor for a multitude of destinations. It’s a big world, and Assistel must constantly develop its overseas network.

Suzanne Blaquière, Assistel General Manager, Manon Turcotte, Manager, Medical Assistance, and Éric Vézina, Manager, Travel Claims, had the opportunity to meet with a number of providers and new collaborators. In addition, over the years, Assistel has developed close relationships with the largest international assistance providers, and this conference was one more opportunity to discuss industry best practices with them.
