An annual meeting
As every year for more than 10 years, Assistel participated as an exhibitor at the Insurance and Investment Conference on November 14, 2017 in Montreal. This annual meeting is the perfect opportunity to meet our clients in the insurance industry and make contacts with new partners. More than 1,300 delegates, mostly insurance brokers and financial advisors, came this year to the event to learn about industry trends and attend conferences on current topics related to the insurance of person and the investment.

An evolving field
The challenges of the group and individual insurance industry are multiple. Several factors put more pressure on the traditional way of doing things. Whether it is the young clientele who are more interested in the immediacy of the service than the technological breakthroughs that can be guided by robot-advised, a multitude of changes is changing the industry. But certainly, assistance is a profession that evolves alongside insurance and is an integral part of the offer of insurers.

This is why many insurers are improving their products with support services, to the delight of their policyholders. Although auto insurance and roadside assistance go hand in hand, travel insurance and travel assistance are just as linked as critical illness insurance and convalescence assistance.

Meetings and links
The Director of Marketing, Lyne Dessureault, and the Regional Director of Business Development, Mr. Yves Ménard, were among the members of the team present at the Assistel booth to welcome the delegates. “We had the opportunity to introduce our insurance brokers offering and, in addition, some of our clients and partners were also present as exhibitors. This allowed us to meet in a favorable context to exchange and network”, says Lyne Dessureault, very satisfied with her day in Congress.
